Vision of the Church
Medowie AOG Church uses a lighthouse for our logo. A lighthouse in the natural sense helps vessels navigate to safety and away from danger in violent seas by shining a bright light.
People are rarely saved in church. They are saved when the light of Christ draws them (wherever they are) from the midst of the storms of life and the perilous danger of sin, to His powerful saving grace. A lighthouse is of little use if it is not positioned and operated at the place where it is needed. Likewise it is our desire that every member of the body of Christ be ready and willing to be used as the Holy Spirit’s “navigational aid,” so that wherever they are stationed by Him and whatever they do by faith, Christ’s love and compassion will naturally shine supernaturally.
The purpose of Church
We uphold the mandate in Hebrews 10:25 and Ephesians 5:19-20 not to forsake the assembling of the saints so that we may exhort, encourage and admonish one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, giving thanks to God the Father in everything through the name of Jesus Christ.
We also desire to give the Holy Spirit time and opportunity to move in our services both corporately and individually with the fervent hope that each person cultivates their own daily personal relationship with Him; so they may grow deeper and stronger in Christ and His culture, being fully ground and established in the Father’s love and equipped with all they need to fulfil the vision and mission God has given us.
